Yoast SEO is a very useful plugin for WordPress. Many people need a detailed tutorial for Yoast SEO. When I was learning hacking techniques, I would write some articles about hacking techniques on my blog. If I want more people to see my article in search engine search results, I will use this plugin. This article is to introduce you to the specific use of this plugin. Thank you for coming.
Step 1: Install the Yoast SEO plugin and prove ownership
1.Yoast SEO Installation
When you enter the website management background, click Plugins–Installed Plugins–Add New. Then, search for Yoast SEO in the search box. Finally, click Install, Activate, and provide the corresponding FTP server account password.
2.Google Search Console Certification
When the Yoast SEO plugin is installed, go to the “SEO–Search Console” module.
Click “Get Google Authorization Code” to get the authorization code. Then you will see a login box. So, you have to log in. After successfully logging in, you will see the verification code, please copy and paste the verification code to the corresponding location. Finally click on “Authenticate”.
If you are using this service for the first time, you will also need to register to use the Googe Search Console service.
Perhaps you are not familiar with how to set up a verification log for Google Search Console. Don’t worry, the following link is to teach you how to set up DNS records.
Just follow the steps above and do it step by step to complete the verification. After certification, it will become like this:
Step 2: Yoast SEO basic settings
In the General option, we only need to pay attention to the following two items.
The function of the Dashboard tab is: if there is a problem with SEO, then it will be prompted here.
The Webmaster Tools tab is used to use other website tools.
Next, set up the Media. My advice is to set all to NO.
Since this plugin is more powerful, many of the options have been set up very well. So the basic settings are just that.
Finally, let me introduce some features you might use.
The two features in the image above are useful and the plugin describes these two features very succinctly.
My suggestion is: the second function should only be used to modify the rebots.txt file. It is best not to modify the .htaccess file. Otherwise, the worst consequence is that – the website is down.
